\nThe Biksuarium Committee combines the Biks and the Annuarium.
\nThe BIKS is Hippeia\u2019s association magazine and is published about three times a year. It contains fun articles about the association, its activities, and all things horse-related. No wonder it’s so popular among Hippeians! Common features include the \u201cDid-you-knows\u201d (funny quotes and facts from members) and recaps of past events.
\nThe Annuarium is published at the end of the academic year and, with a fun theme, helps you get to know your fellow Hippeians even better. This is a great committee to let your creativity run wild!<\/p>\n
\nNo offense to the other committees, but the Events Committee is one of the most fun\u2014and most important\u2014committees at Hippeia. Events are where riders from different lessons connect and really get to know each other, which is what makes Hippeia so warm and welcoming!
\nAs a member of this committee, YOU decide what events will happen. The goal is to organize at least one social event or dinner and one activity per month, alternating between horse-related and non-horse-related events.
\nEach activity is led by one or two members, so you\u2019ll typically organize around two events per year. Outside of that, you\u2019ll brainstorm and help with other activities.
\nIf it fits within the budget and there\u2019s enough interest, anything is possible\u2014from horseback beach rides and archery on horseback to cocktail nights or paintball.<\/p>\n
\nThe Hippocrene Committee focuses on maintaining the bond between former members (Hippocrenes) and current members of Hippeia. Throughout the year, the committee organises approximately four activities in which gezelligheid and connection are central. Think of social drinks, an outing to a climbing park, or other fun activities where former and current members come together to share memories and create new ones. In this way, the involvement of alumni is maintained, and the close-knit atmosphere of Hippeia continues beyond active student life.<\/p>\n
\nThe Poop-Scoop Committee is our newest committee. Its main goal is to engage non-riding members more actively with Hippeia and the stable.
\nThe committee organizes volunteer days where Hippeians can help out at the stable in exchange for a free drink on Wednesday evenings. Committee members are also often lovingly bribed (with snacks or drinks) to take over someone\u2019s stable chore shift.
\nIf you\u2019re a non-riding member, this is the easiest way to stay connected with the riding side of Hippeia!<\/p>\n
\nHuh? What a strange name! Welcome to the Proto\u2014the PR-photo committee!
\nGood PR has always been important, but it\u2019s more essential than ever now that social media plays such a big role in our lives.
\nThis committee focuses on promoting Hippeia and increasing its visibility. That includes taking fun photos for social media and finding creative ways to attract attention.
\nThe Proto is also involved in the annual UIT Week, organizing family\/friends days, and Hippocrene Day to maintain connections with Hippeia\u2019s network.
\nThe committee also works with sponsors, including managing our Sponsorkliks<\/a> page and our collaboration with Military Boekelo.
\nAs promotion becomes more important, so does this committee! We’re always looking for enthusiastic members who love social media, PR, and\/or event planning.<\/p>\n
\nStudent Equestrian Meetings (Stedenontmoetingen, or SO’s) are the perfect chance to represent Hippeia and meet members of other equestrian associations across the Netherlands. These are competition weekends organized by one of our sister associations, where you can compete against riders from other cities.
\nWe also organize our own SO weekend\u2014and that\u2019s where we need a large, dedicated committee.
\nYou can\u2019t plan such a big event alone! Teamwork and good communication are essential, but there\u2019s also plenty of room for fun\u2014think of making videos, choosing themes, decorating, and, of course, partying.
\nIt\u2019s a great opportunity to create something amazing together!<\/p>\n
\nThe Web Committee is responsible for maintaining and designing Hippeia\u2019s website. The goal is to make sure all information about U.S.R. Hippeia is easy to find and always up to date. Together with your fellow committee members, you’ll decide how best to keep the website running smoothly.<\/p>\n
\nWant to use your creativity and organizational skills to plan competitions for all levels\u2014whether it\u2019s for fun with your favorite horse or to challenge yourself and learn something new? Then the Competition Committee is perfect for you!
\nBesides traditional riding competitions, we also organize creative and quirky challenges\u2014like the kitchen princess competition, best Christmas sweater contest, high-score day for dressage tests, funniest caption for a silly horse photo, or a walking challenge.
\nWhatever we organize, we make sure everyone can join and that fun always comes first.<\/p>\n
